The Semester Model
Is Here.
Something changed at Columbus Fashion Academy. And it changes everything for young designers.
For nine years, we've taught kids to sew, to sketch, to transform waste into wonder.
But here's what we learned: real designers aren't built in drop-in classes.
They're built over time.
Introducing: Semesters at CFA
Starting Fall 2026, we're moving to a 14–16 week semester model — because depth beats dabbling, every time.
Here's how it works:
Weekly studio access. Your choice of group classes or open studio time. Pick your night. Or pick your weekend. Come every week. Build something real.
Not a craft project. A collection.
Why semesters?
Because a young designer with 15 weeks doesn't just learn to sew a seam.
She develops a point of view. He finds his silhouette. They build a body of work.
And then — they show it.
Two runways. One year. Zero limits.
High Tea Fashion — Columbus Fashion Week
This Fall '26: a collection of 10 Columbus Fashion Academy looks walks the runway at High Tea Fashion — the opening event of Columbus Fashion Week, September 27 at the Columbus Museum of Art. Our students. Their designs. That stage.
The CFA Spring Runway Show
Our students present their full collections at CFA's big spring runway show. Everything they build this semester walks that runway.
Time to develop. A deadline that matters. A runway waiting.
#TheyKnowTheyCanFall 2026 enrollment is open now.
Spots are limited by studio capacity — and we hold our instructor ratios seriously.
To apply: email your interest to priscila@columbusfashionacademy.com — tell us about your young designer.
