The best personal shopper is not the one who simply loves and knows fashion. It is the one who knows and cares for you.
This is not transactional fast shopping. This is a conversation about who you are and what you love.
Personal shopping at Dear Garment House is not a retail transaction. It is a one-on-one advisory session — unhurried, honest, and built entirely around you. You sit with Priscila, you talk about your life, your wardrobe, what you reach for and what you avoid, and together you find pieces that actually belong in your closet.
Everything we pull is from The Archive — pre-loved vintage, upcycled finds, and handmade pieces. One-of-a-kind, by definition. Nothing is mass-produced. Nothing is chasing a trend. Every piece has a story, and Priscila will tell you what she knows about it.
She will also tell you when something is not right for you. That is the part most stylists skip. Priscila never does.
"I will never sell you something for the sake of it. If it is not right for you, I will tell you. And then I will find what is."
Priscila Teixeira. Forty years in fashion. Zero interest in selling you something you don't need.
Priscila started her first business at age twelve. By the time she arrived in Columbus, she had already built a career across Brazil — working inside major corporations, running her own ventures, and developing an eye for people and what they need that no school ever taught.
At Nordstrom Easton, she became the #1 All-Star Manager on the opening team in 2001 and held that ranking for every year she was there. She built a personal client list of thousands — from Mall of America to Beverly Hills — by doing one thing consistently: listening first, advising second, and never, ever selling for the sake of a number.
After building Columbus Fashion Academy, The Fashion Community, and the TalkingFashion ecosystem — and proving that circular fashion can be both beautiful and transformative — she is bringing her retail gift home. To a 1903 building on Grandview Avenue. To an Archive full of remarkable things. And to you.
An honest, unhurried hour. Just you, Priscila, and The Archive.
You are welcome to share anything useful before your session — your lifestyle, your wardrobe gaps, your wish list, a piece you have been searching for, a size, a decade, a vibe. The more Priscila knows going in, the more she can have ready for you. You can also browse The Archive at www.talkingfashion.net and save anything that catches your eye.
You arrive at Dear Garment House. You sit down. You talk. Priscila asks questions no one has ever asked you about your wardrobe — and you will be surprised how much you have to say. Then she pulls. You try. She is honest. You laugh. You leave with something you actually love, or nothing at all — and that is completely fine too.
Every purchase you make at Dear Garment House funds Columbus Fashion Academy's youth programs, workforce development initiatives, and The Fashion Community's mission to keep fashion education available in the community and clothes out of landfills. You are not just shopping. You are participating in something beautiful, intentional, and genuinely good.
Anyone who has ever stood in their closet full of clothes and felt like they had nothing to wear.
This service is for the person who wants to shop more intentionally. The person rebuilding their wardrobe after a life change. The person who is tired of fast fashion and doesn't know where to start with vintage. The person who has always wanted a stylist but assumed it wasn't for them. The person who just wants someone honest in their corner.
It is also for the person who simply loves beautiful things and wants to spend an hour in a room full of them with someone who knows every piece by name.
