We are a 501c3 nonprofit human services agency and the fiscal sponsor for the impactful work of Columbus Fashion Academy, a social enterprise transforming lives through sustainable fashion in Central Ohio. At The Fashion Community, we honor Artistic Freedom as a fundamental human right. Our mission is to cultivate the #1 most desired skill for all industries—creative problem solving. We make that happen by creating experiences for the youth to turn 'Waste into Wonder.' Through inclusive multigenerational programs, we advocate for self-discovery, self-confidence, self-love, life balance, sustainability, connection, care for people and planet; as we design a better world together making fashion for good.
Our community is a living extension of the studio—a radical movement that doesn’t stay behind closed doors. We believe in the power of public mending, taking our grit and our wonder to libraries, festivals, galleries and streets to prove that every garment, and every human, deserves a second chance.
